Want more? Sip+Slide is April 7 at Fremont Foundry

Wikipedia says "A slider is an American term for a small sandwich, typically around 2 in. across, made with a bun."

That's a pretty simple definition, and it leaves lots of room for interpretation and creativity when you're making your own. Slider purists may insist that technically a slider is a little patty of beef between two little buns. But that ignores sooooo many delicious possibilities!

And that's where Slip+Slide comes in. We're throwing this tasty event on April 7 at Fremont Foundry where you can sample a universe of clever takes on the simple slider, from breakfast biders to grass-fed free range beef sliders on a gluten-free bun.  The best part (if you ask me) is that you can pair your slider choices with all kinds of refreshing quaffs from local breweries and cideries. If you can find a better way to spend an early Spring Seattle afternoon, tell me about it, because this is going to be epic!

Here are ten examples of how you can use some creativity and ingenuity to embellish and enhance the simple slider and turn it into something really special -- but still small, and easy to eat, and pretty simple. Take a look and tell me your stomach isn't growling . . . just a little bit!

Here's the list of all those juicy tasty treats:

2. Breakfast Sliders

3. Pork Cutlet Sliders

4. Cheeseburger Sliders 4 Ways
